Berenice D. Rosillo, LMFT

Clinical Supervisor, and University Professor
Berenice Rosillo is a published author and a Summa Cum Laude graduate of the California State University Northridge where she obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Master of Science degree in Counseling with specialization in Marriage and Family Therapy. She is licensed in California (License: LMFT88225) and Arizona (License: LMFT15669). She is also an Adjunct Faculty at Pepperdine University, California State University Northridge (CSUN), and the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) extension.

Berenice is fluent in English and Spanish. Her training includes helping victims of domestic violence and other crimes process their trauma and achieve a higher level of functioning. Berenice’s clinical experience also includes work with individuals that experience pervasive disorders such as Post-traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). She has facilitated support groups for victims of domestic violence, depression and suicide prevention, grief and loss, and parenting education. Additionally, she assists the Hispanic community by offering psychological evaluations and documentation to support their immigration cases.

Currently, Berenice offers her services in private practice in the city of Woodland Hills, CA. She uses a wide range of evidence-based approaches to assist individuals, couples, and families work through their problems and improve the quality of their lives. She provides a safe, non-judgmental environment where clients can explore their inner selves and move closer to becoming the person, couple, or family they want to be.

Berenice is a frequent guest on a Spanish radio station offering a psychotherapeutic view on topics that assist the Hispanic community in southern California. She has also participated in interviews for the national television station Telemundo. Furthermore, Berenice provides clinical supervision to pre-licensed clinicians as they gain experience in the mental health field. She is also a community advocate and offers speaking engagements focused on discussing the impact of mass shootings and trauma in the community as well as how trauma impacts individuals from diverse backgrounds.

Berenice is an active member of the Ethics Committee for the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (CAMFT) - Served and current terms 2021-2025.

Nathalie May, LMFT

Individual, Couple, and Family Therapist
Nathalie grew up in Paris, France and moved to New York City to pursue her love of dance. She made her way to the west coast where she continued her education and graduated with a Master of Science (MS) degree in Counseling with a focus in Marriage and Family Therapy from California State University Northridge. She is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over 11 years of experience working with children, adolescents, adults, the elderly, and their families. She is licensed in California (License: LMFT98457) and Michigan (License: 4101007240)

Nathalie has worked in outpatient, educational, and in-home settings. She has extensive experience in treating children on the autism spectrum, crisis intervention, behavioral issues, trauma, family issues, and addiction. Her therapeutic approach is solution-focused, using cognitive behavioral therapy. She is trained and certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).
Nathalie is biracial and culturally competent. She can easily relate to clients from diverse backgrounds. She is also bilingual speaking English along with her native French.
Nathalie believes that by strengthening clients’ ability to take ownership of their own behaviors, they can improve their level of functioning, interpersonal relationships, and emotional wellbeing. Nathalie is highly trained in Structural Family Therapy and works to improve family functioning by increasing positive communication, building on family strengths, and defining and setting healthy boundaries. She enjoys supporting clients in creating a healthy environment for everyone to thrive.
Bryan Scheihing, LMFT

Professional Partner
Bryan is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who provides individual, group, and family therapy support as well as working in the community to promote positive institutional support of LGBTQ+ individuals. His last name is pronounced ‘Shine’, so the name of his private practice is aptly called Shine Therapy – found at www.shinetherapy.services

Since completing his traineeship at the LA LGBT Center in 2011 and graduating with a Master’s of Science in Counseling degree from California State, Northridge in 2012, Bryan has been providing affirming support for people from marginalized minority groups, including at Didi Hirsch Mental Health Services, The Help Group, and in private practice. In 2019, he worked to help create Kaleidoscope, The Help Group’s successful LGBTQ+ youth and young adult program. Bryan directed and facilitated multiple services with Kaleidoscope, including providing individual and group therapy, presentation workshops in community settings, education and support for parents, youth outings into the LGBTQ+ community, and leading various social activity groups and events. Currently in private practice, Bryan continues to dedicate his professional life to helping provide affirming support to members of the LGBTQ+ community by promoting awareness, acceptance, empowerment, and equality while also helping individuals realize their beautifully unique potential to help them achieve their goals.
Muriel Francis-Hoyle, AMFT

Individual, Couple, and Family Therapist
Muriel is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist and Associate Professional Clinical Counselor based in Los Angeles, CA under the supervision of Berenice Rosillo, LMFT. She serves adults and teenagers of all backgrounds through individual and couples therapy.

Muriel received her Masters in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University and Bachelors in Social Ecology with a minor in Psychology and Social Behavior from the University of California, Irvine.
​
She completed her MFT Trainee practicum in clinical psychology at The Coalition for Family Harmony, a multiservice agency, serving over 5,000 individuals a year. She saw clients of all ages and backgrounds offering counseling to survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and child abuse. Muriel recieved intensive and unparalleled training in family psychology, trauma, and the assessment and treatment of PTSD.
​
Muriel furthered her specialization in trauma and forensic psychology by working as a rape crisis advocate on Ventura County's Sexual Assault Response Team (SART). While there, she accompanied victims during forensic medical examinations to collect DNA evidence, offered crisis counseling to victims immediately following an assault, and acted as a support person during interviews with law enforcement.
